The scientists at High Touch Science Made Fun want to ensure that your Special Event is a memorable experience! Whether it’s a holiday party, work picnic, or a community or school fair we have FUN down to a science. We have designed booths and family fun packages that are totally hands on allowing kids and even parents to get involved, make discoveries about the world around them and take something home to help them share their discoveries. Listed below are our options designed for ages 4 and up.

The Surrey Public Library has booked the HT scientists to visit the libraries in Surrey over spring break for our 1 hour Matter Matters! Calling all scientists ages 4-12 to come and discover what matter is and why it matters! You will get an opportunity to put on goggles and explroe liquids, solids and gases and see what makes them special. Mix a few together to create chemical reactions and new states of matter. Mix and stir in our matter challenge and see if you can identify the mystery matter that you get to take home!

Family Fun Booths and Packages
Invite High Touch Science Made Fun for a completely interactive experience that will keep all kids involved and having fun.
All About Me
This booth lets kids explore what makes them so unique. Kids will learn all about and take their fingerprints, dental prints and even make their own health chart to take home.
The Science of Magic
Magicians don't share their secrets, but scientists do! Join us at our booth and we will teach you all about optical illusions! We’ll also teach you how to make water disappear and pull a tablecloth out from underneath a bowl.
Slime Factory
Kids love to line up and put on some goggles for this one. They’ll learn about liquids and solids. As they mix together an ohh so cool concoction! Is it a drippy liquid or a crumbly solid? You will have to do the experiment to find out. The kids can also put on a pair of goggles and make some blow mud that they can use to blow bubbles as big as their head!
Spooky Science Booooth
Kids have an opportunity to explore different types of spider webs. Discover how these webs are made and then make and take a removable spider web home. Kids will also get to put on some goggles and make slimy worms!
Sun Smart
Join us at our booth and see the power of the sun and the wonderful things it can do. Watch as the sun’s energy puts a fan in motion, through prism glasses. You’ll learn how the sun’s rays can be harmful to your skin and you’ll even get to take home a UV bead wristband.
Crazy Chemical Concoctions Workshop
Learn all about chemistry and cool chemical reactions as you mix together a few of our favourite concoctions. Kids get to create and take home ‘Blow Mud’. Mix it, stretch it and even blow it into a huge bubble! Experiment with our super absorbency crystals and see how they grow. For our grand finale, we'll finish off with a geyser that erupts more than 5 meters high!
Geology Madness Workshop
Kids, here is your chance to become a geologist. Explore the layers of the earth and discover how rocks are made. You will get a chance to go panning for some beautiful gemstones and we’ll end off with a big volcanic eruption.
Up in the Air Workshop
Uncover the mysteries of air, if you dare! Learn about air and all its amazing properties. We'll even uncover some of the mysteries of aerodynamics as we fly helicopters and launch a rocket!
Frankenstein’s Freaky Workshop
Join us for this hands on workshop and make an edible spider, slimy worms and some gooey slime. We'll even bring in “Freddie”, our friendly hissing cockroach you can touch!
