Week Long Science Camps
High Touch is back offering our hands-on science camps at Lord Tweedsmuir in New West, Tong Louie YMCA in Surrey, Capilano College in North Van., and Collingwood Prep School in West Van. Daycares, Summer Camps and Out of School Cares
Check out our 1 hour Science Made Fun hands on workshops for your 5- 12 year olds at your facility. No need to organize a bus as we come to you and bring all of the supplies. Summer 09 Workshops
Body Shop
Step into the world of the pediatrician’s office. Take a deep breath as we listen to our heartbeat with real stethoscopes. Explore how food travels through your body. Work as a team and see if you can beat the x-ray challenge. See what a real sheep brain looks like. Experiment with the brain and find out why it’s so important to wear a helmet when riding your bike!

Creation Station
Bubble Blast
Have fun doing bubble tricks and playing bubble games. Learn the basics of bubble making and bubble blowing. Create cool bubbles and take home your bubble blower.
Bugs, Bugs, Bugs
Learn the difference between a bug and a spider. Examine real bugs and see for yourself how an insect really sees the world. Make a bug that you can EAT! We’ll even bring in a live one for you to see.

July 08- The learning Experience
Crazy Chemical Concoctions
Join us on a wacky adventure through all kinds of cool and crazy chemical reactions. Make colours explode and slime worms glow. You’ll even keep your crazy concoctions!
Follow That Planet
Journey through the planets and see how each one is unique. Explore how planets orbit around the sun and spin on their axis. Learn how old you would be if you lived on other planets. Finish off by creating a shooting star.

Aug 08- Nelson Ave Daycare
Junior Detective (Designed for 8-12 year olds)
It’s CSI time! Learn a few ways investigators would collect evidence from a crime scene. Careful watch what you touch – you could become a suspect!

Science like you’ve never seen or tasted! YUM!

Aug 08- Stratford Hall Summer Camp
Up, Up and Away
Learn about aerodynamics and what makes things fly. Learn about lift and drag as we use gliders and balloons. Make a helicopter and discover why what goes up must come down.
Winter Wonderland (Designed for 5-9 year olds)
It’s time to cool things down as we explore below freezing temperatures. You’ll experiment and see if liquids change in size when they change temperature. Explore the properties of ice and snow as you get to make and take some snow home!

Rates for Out Of School Care Workshops:
.$125 + GST for 1 hour (up to 25 children)
. A discount will be given for centres booking more than 1 workshop in a day.
