Hands-On Science Workshops That Come To You
High Touch- Science Made Fun offers hands-on experiments, with a heavy emphasis on science understanding and science literacy. These programs encourage your students to expand their thinking and problem-solving skills with many opportunities for both individual and collaborative projects. Our scientists facilitate hands-on science experiences in a creative, non-competitive and inquiry based environment that promotes positive attitudes towards science. Our age appropriate, totally participatory and fun science programs will set your classroom apart.
No need to organize a bus or arrange parent drivers. High Touch Science Made Fun scientists will come to your location and convert your classroom into a Living Laboratory. We are presently providing workshops from Whistler to Chilliwack and on Vancouver Island. Click on K-7 Grade Workshops Below for a Full List of our 75 minute Curriculum Based workshops. You may also want to organize a hands-on Science Made Fun Teacher workshop for the teachers at your school. This can be done afterschool or during lunch to learn some experiments that are sure to WOW your students!
Rates for 75 minute Workshops:
* $7 a student less than 3 workshops in a day (minimum booking fees may apply)
* Environmental Discount- $6 a student for schools booking 3 consecutive workshops in a day or multiples of 3(minimum booking fees may apply)

February- Bonkers About Blood© Heart and Stroke Month
(Grades 3-6) Explore what a heart is and some things you can do to keep a healthy heart. Put on some gloves as you take a trip through arteries, veins and end up at the heart (a real heart!). Explore the skeletal system and see where blood is made.
March- Nutty Nutrients© National Nutrition Month
(Grades K-4) Get the essentials as we learn about the food groups. Have FUN as we test for fat and learn about the different types. Become a food detective as we search for carbohydrates in our foods. Discover how to make healthy choices and more!
April- Global Fever© Earth Day
(Grades K-5) Discover why Carbon Dioxide is called a “Greenhouse gas”. Experiment with ice cap melting to see its effect on us. Learn about carbon footprints and how you can reduce yours. Explore clean and renewable energy and learn what you can do to make a difference.
June- Let’s Make Sense©
(Grades K-4) Have FUN as we make sense of all of our senses. Explore our 5 senses 1 sense at a time. Discover how much we rely on our senses and how easy they are to fool.
Workshops Meet BC Learning Outcomes
High Touch Science Made Fun delivers quality science education and enrichment programs that ignite a child’s natural curiosity about science and helps to build problem-solving skills, self-esteem and the confidence to try something new.
Our programs are designed to aid educators offering science experiences that are aligned with BC IRP's and include all the necessary supplies to help students develop an understanding of the many applications of science in daily life.
Each workshop includes a teacher package providing assessment and follow up activites to allow the students to continue to make discoveries about their topic.
